Evaluation Q7

These are my two front covers. Ones a preliminary (Manorzine) and the other one is my final draft (Xclusive) as you can see there is a significant difference between the two. The preliminary front cover only has one sell line and sloppy use off photoshop and limited use of typography whereas the final draft has a variety of typography and a good use and contrast of colours and a variety of sell lines that entice the reader. My preliminary task on the other hand hasn't got things like a price or features on it and the dull use of one colour which doesnt really go with the theme of the model used on it. The photography could have been better as well as it isn't clear. The background also doesn't stand out as much as it should. The model needs to have taken up more space as it is supposed to be the centre of attention and grab the readers eye. It should also have a issue number or edition style. As you can see the final draft is a lot better then my preliminary task and also has the typical conventions of a rap magazine. I have learnt a lot from my preliminary task and have improved a lot.

Evaluation Q6

EDIROL

This device was used when i was collecting feedback from audiences and potential consumers in which they'd give answers to easy open questions that allowed me to get more elaborated opinions. This helped me with my audience research for my music magazine. Edirol recording devices have allowed me to record and capture the necessary audio research wether it was short or long. Its size being small meant it was suitable for portable use swell.

ADOBE AUDITION

This programme was completely new to me so on the initial use of it, it looked very complicated with a very confusing layout. This programme was used to edit the audio files obtained from the Edirol audio recording device. After using the programme and fiddling around with it i was able to use it correctly and edit my audio files accordingly wether it be to cut or turn down the audio file.

BLOG

This was the first time i had used a blog before to log all of my work details and make daily updates. It is extremely easy to use and very effective in storing and sharing data with others that may be interested in it. It also allows you to edit and change the time and date as to when the post was published allowing me to make the blog much more tidy and efficient for others that want to view my blog.

USB STICK

The use of my USB was essential in my time management and creation of my music magazine as it was needed to move and use data that I had on both the school computers and my laptop at home. without it i would have only been able to use do my work (music magazine) at either school or at home which would have given me a severe time disadvantage as apposed to those who had a USB stick.

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP

Adobe Photoshop was the main program when it came to building my music magazine. It was via this program how i managed to change and alter my front cover, contents page and double page spread. I could use it to change the colour of an image and edit the size and font of text. Cropping an image and adding effects to them were also able to be done on adobe photoshop. At first with adobe photoshop i was given a preliminary task to make a magazine for the school, my skills weren't very good in contrast to my final music magazine product. But as I progressed over time i was able to use photoshop very well as apposed to when i started.
